Neil Gaiman dropped from adaptation of Good Omens

Neil Gaiman will no longer receive proceeds from a £2.4 million crowdfunding project to produce a graphic novel version of Good Omens.

More than 36,000 fans pledged money to develop a comic version of the novel, which was co-written by Gaiman and Terry Pratchett and originally published in 1990.

An update posted by Terry Pratchett’s estate to the project’s Kickstarter page on Thursday said the project would continue but be “run by, and financially connected to, the Terry Pratchett Estate only”.

A total of nine women have now alleged abuse by Gaiman, including four in a recent Vulture article.

Earlier this month Gaiman posted a statement to his personal website denying the women’s allegations and said he had “never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone. Ever.”

Last week, Dark Horse Comics became the first publisher to cancel forthcoming works by the author.
