On Friday, Russell Brand was charged by UK police with rape, sexual assault and indecent assault against four women.
In a video posted to X, the comedian and actor denied the allegations and said he had “never engaged in nonconsensual activity”.
In a separate civil suit last week, Brand’s lawyers told a New York court he fears criminal charges will also be brought against him in the US.
Brand moved to Florida with his wife and children last year and claimed he was being “attacked” by British authorities, which may seek his extradition if he doesn’t return for his May court date.
Brand has embraced Donald Trump and his circle in recent months.
Last year he interviewed Don Jr; in January he attended the inauguration; and weeks later he was awarded a ‘Global Defender of Freedom’ award at Mar-a-Lago.
