I hope...
I hope that we finally have some politicians we can trust. I hope that Rachel Reeves’ promised Covid Corruption Commissioner is appointed as soon as possible. I’d apply for it myself if I had the relevant experience. I want truth back into the political conversation. I want all of us to vote so that we say in a very loud voice that we will do away with the privileged few and their cronies. I want fewer crony journalists and right-wing think tanks making endless appearances on our screens, invited in to add “balance”. Give me strength. It’s all smoke and mirrors and opaque funding. And I hope that we see some really strong decisions about behaviour in Westminster. Keir Starmer has promised it. I hope he keeps his word.
