Kenneth Roth
Join us for a ThinkIn with Kenneth Roth, the former long-time head of Human Rights Watch, as he shares insights from his new book, Righting Wrongs. For nearly 30 years, Roth led one of the world's most influential human rights organisations, uncovering abuses in 100 countries and holding governments accountable. He has traveled the world to meet cruelty and injustice on its home turf: from the aftermath of the Rwandan genocide, to confronting Russian war crimes in Ukraine and addressing China’s persecution of Uyghur Muslims. Roth has challenged the most ruthless oppressors and persuaded leaders from around the globe to take a stand against their repressive counterparts – no matter the cost. In an era of rising authoritarianism, ongoing war and a battle for truth, we’ll ask: can moral courage still bend the arc of justice? Are we living in an age of impunity? And is ‘shame’ still a powerful tool for change?
