Former Pentagon officer says truth is still out there

Unidentified Flying Objects may be no more but fascination with them remains sky high. Any UFO is now officially deemed to be an Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon (UAP) and there are two US government bodies looking into them. Recent polls suggest between a third and a half of Americans believe that UAPs are evidence of some kind of alien or extraterrestrial intelligence. That proportion may rise after the publication yesterday of Imminent: Inside the Pentagon’s hunt for UFOs, by Luis Elizondo. Once a senior (how senior is contested) intelligence official for the US Department of Defence, Elizondo resigned in 2017 because his concerns about UAPs were not being taken seriously. He supported his claims then with videos and evidence from military pilots that caused a minor sensation. His book asserts that the US government has been recovering technology and even alien remains from UAP crashes for decades and that a green floating orb had repeatedly invaded his own home.
