The former heavyweight boxing champion Vitali Klitschko, who’s been running Kyiv as war rages with Russia, is the subject of a new documentary. “Klitschko: More than a fight”, available on Sky, shows Klitscko in his office, among the ruins left by Russian missiles, working as the mayor of the city. He’s no Cicero when it comes to public speaking, but he believes in what he does and what he does, doesn’t always please his President Volodymyr Zelensky. Both men avoid direct confrontation, but it’s clear that Klitschko’s ambitions go higher than the mayor’s office, and Zelensky is sensitive to that. It’s unclear when presidential elections will happen in Ukraine; what is clear is that Vitali Klitschko knew his own mind 20 years ago, having coherently supported both revolutions in 2004 and 2013, while Zelensky was mocking him in his standup show.
