Hunter Biden found guilty in gun trial

Hunter Biden has become the first child of a US president to be found guilty of a crime, convicted of three felonies related to a gun he bought illegally in 2018. After three hours of deliberation, a Delaware jury found Joe Biden’s son lied on a form about his drug use when buying the handgun. Hunter, flanked by his wife and other family members, accepted the judgement with a nod. It carries a maximum 25-year prison sentence but he’s thought unlikely to face jail time as he is a non-violent first-time offender. President Biden, who is extremely close to his only surviving son (Beau Biden died of cancer in 2015), has already ruled out a pardon. In a statement after the verdict, Joe Biden said he loved Hunter and would accept the outcome of the case.
