Bill Ackman threatens legal action against media company

Bill Ackman is not backing down. The hedge fund manager, fresh from toppling Harvard’s president, now appears to be readying for the biggest media v billionaire brawl since Peter Thiel waged war on Gawker. An internal review at Business Insider found that its claims of plagiarism about his wife Neri Oxman, a former MIT professor, were “accurate” and “well documented”. Oxman admits to missing some quote marks in her doctoral dissertation but says she credited sources. Ackman responded on X that the couple will “respond in a formal complaint which will take a few weeks to prepare”, later clarifying: “by complaint I mean lawsuit”. Axel Springer declined to comment.
