The Saatchi gallery has opened an exhibition of the world-famous Ukrainian primitivist Maria Prymachenko (1908 – 1997) whose most expensive painting was recently auctioned for $500,000. Living her entire life in a village near Kyiv, she created about 800 naive art paintings, being awarded with the golden medal in Paris, 1937. In 2022, Russian occupants burnt a local museum with 25 Prymachenko’s paintings, but some of them were saved. Admission is free.
