She’s got “It”
American actress and model Hari Nef has been named in New York magazine’s 55th-anniversary issue as a modern-day “It” girl. At 30, she is certainly setting herself up for a pretty iconic career. In 2016, shortly after her breakout role in Amazon series Transparent, she became the first openly transgender woman to grace the cover of a UK magazine. From there she’s starred other hit shows such as Netflix’s You and her name is even nestled among the star-studded cast of Greta Gerwig’s movie-of-the-summer Barbie. “This Barbie is a doctor,” she announced on Instagram. Nef says that in today’s online world, however, it’s hard to be an “It” girl in the traditional sense… she’s not “mysterious enough” apparently.
