Disney’s Star Wars themed hotel at Walt Disney World must have sounded like a great idea in the meeting. “People love Star Wars. People like Disney characters. What if we build a Galactic Starcruiser that’s part luxury hotel, park theme park ride and part role-playing game? You check in and get a mission and the windows show you space and the shrimps at dinner are blue!” Perhaps if there had been more than one “mission” at the hotel, or perhaps if the rooms had been cheaper than $2,400 per night, or perhaps if Bob Iger wasn’t feuding with Florida and pulling the plug on $1 billion in real estate investment… whatever the reason, you can no longer book a break in a concrete bunker with no windows that one guest reviewed as ideal for future use as a prison.
