Two brothers, with four sons and one daughter, battling for control of a business empire

As David and Frederick Barclay built their business empire, they kept it very much a private, family affair. Living and working together for 60 years, the twin brothers brought their children into senior leadership positions, with only a small team of non-family advisers in their inner circle.

Who plays what role has always been fiendishly difficult to find out for one of the most secretive families. Now, the family rifts lying beneath the surface for years have been blown wide open through legal action which revealed a spying operation.

The split runs right down the middle, pitting David and his sons against Frederick and his daughter. The days of Frederick and David finishing each other’s sentences are long gone.
