Finding Covid’s lost children: how do we bring them back?

Finding Covid’s lost children: how do we bring them back?

This event is exclusive to Friends of Tortoise

When schools reopened in September, teachers and local authorities found themselves worrying about children who have dropped off the radar. Some did not return, some were designated as home-schooling. Where are these children? Are they getting the education they need? Without teachers to keep an eye on vulnerable pupils, what hidden harms might we be missing? At Tortoise, we’re investigating how many children in the UK have fallen out of the education system. How worried should we be? And what can we do to bring them back?
