Are business leaders stalling over disability inclusion?

Are business leaders stalling over disability inclusion?

50 per cent of companies operating in OECD countries say they would rather pay a fine than comply with legal requirements to include people with disabilities, and only 3% of published articles discussing ‘diversity and inclusion’ explicitly reference disability. If 2020 was the year that ‘diversity and inclusion’ finally made it to the boardroom agenda, why are disabled people still so often overlooked? Is disability inclusion somehow different, or harder, than initiatives designed to improve, for example, gender inclusion? What should companies be aiming for, and what should consumers and employees be asking for?
