Nicola Adams OBE is Great Britain’s most successful female boxer of all time, and the only female boxer ever to have won every major title available; Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth. When she won the first ever female Olympic boxing gold at London 2012, a title she retained 4 years later, Nicola became an inspirational role model to millions of people. In 2020, she made history again when she took to the floor as one half of Strictly’s first ever same-sex competitive dancing couple.
Nicola joins us in conversation with Tortoise editor (and fellow Leeds-ian) Liz Moseley, to reflect on her life and career, on the future for women’s sport, on breaking boundaries and speaking out, and on how it feels to be a role model in 2020.
