KITE Festival Kickstarter Competition T&Cs
KITE are proud to have teamed up with Tortoise to give you the chance to win an exclusive meet and greet with a Tortoise editor and a guest speaker at KITE Festival.
This competition runs from 14th – 18th February 2020 and you need to pledge or have pledged on KITE’s own Kickstarter page to be in with a chance of winning. After February 18th 2020, 1 pledger will win an exclusive meet and greet with a Tortoise editor and a guest speaker at KITE Festival. Please note that Supporter or Supporter & Member tier pledgers will not be eligible as their pledge level does not include festival tickets. Some speakers might not be available, but KITE will work with those that are available and we will confirm the speaker’s name and timings with the winner prior to the festival. The KITE team will escort the winner and out at the appropriate time and remain with the winner at all times during the meet and greet.
Full competition details below. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
To be eligible to enter the competition, you must:
- have pledged to the KITE Festival Kickstarter campaign before midnight on Tuesday 18th February. Supporter or Supporter & Member tier pledgers will not be eligible.
- Be available to attend KITE Festival 12th – 14th June 2020.
- be able to comply with all the terms and conditions for the Competition.
- abide by KITE Festival’s Entry Terms whilst on site at KITE Festival.
You must not be an employee, agent, director or immediate family member of the same of KITE or Tortoise.
How to enter:
There is no entry fee.
You must enter through Kickstarter and create an account if you do not already have one. You will be required to sign up to Kickstarter’s standard terms and conditions, which will govern your use of their services.
You must pledge to KITE Festival on Kickstarter in any tier other than Supporter or Supporter & Member tier. You must pledge before 11:59 PM GMT, on February 18th 2020 for your entry to be considered.
KITE will then review entries, which can take up to 5 working days. You can only submit one entry and multiple submissions will not be considered.
Winning applicants will be contacted before 12:00 AM GMT on February 23rd, 2020.
What you win:
Our judges will choose ONE winner who will be notified by KITE before 12: 00AM GMT on February 23rd, 2020 (“Winner(s)”).
A ‘Winner’ will win:
1 x meet and greet with a Tortoise editor and a guest speaker at KITE for 1 winner and up to 1 guest (maximum of 2 people)
(hereby referred to as the “Prize”)
*All Winners will be required to arrange for their own transport and accommodation.
KITE reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
We accept no responsibility for lost entries or for any technical issues that prevent us from receiving your entry or playing the same.
We will not be held responsible for any costs incurred by you in entering the competition (whether or not such entry is successful) or in relation to you taking part in the Prize.
KITE will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize.
KITE shall not be liable for any damages or losses as a result of failure by Tortoise to deliver the Prize or any other prizes as a result of any circumstances outside of our direct and reasonable control including, but not limited to, as a result of a server failure (including but not limited to access delays or interruptions, data non-delivery or mis-delivery), any act(s) of God, war or terrorism, breaches of security or unauthorised use of personal data arising from hacking and/or failure or lack of reception of telephone or mobile telephone networks.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit KITE’s liability:
(a) for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or a deliberate act or omission of us or any of our officers, employees or agents;
(b) for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
(c) to the extent that liability cannot by law be excluded or limited.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
