Why this story?
With each passing day, the Covid-19 crisis becomes a bigger economic emergency. Millions of people have already lost their jobs, millions more look set to do so. It’s time for difficult questions. Who is going back to work, when, and on what terms? What’s the plan for resuscitating business and how’s it going to be paid for? What are we getting wrong and what can we learn from others doing better? But are we asking them? We examine whether the media is doing its job.
