Why this story?

Higher education has a serious problem with sexual misconduct. Students are more likely to be assaulted than the population at large, and institutions are not responding to that problem. The head of the university regulator for England says that “students continue to report worrying cases that have not been properly addressed by their university or college.” This week’s story traces out some of the dynamics of that problem.
