The Covid-19 pandemic is redrawing our world. In just a matter of months, students have had their exams cancelled, industries have been frozen and workers have been put on furlough in their millions. When the furlough scheme winds down, the UK is anticipating the most dramatic rises in unemployment ever seen. Unemployment in the US is already running at 13.3 per cent.
The United Nations has warned of a “lost generation” of young people whose futures will be blighted by increased poverty and unemployment after Covid-19. The World Economic Forum was calling for a reskilling revolution even before the crisis. The disruption will affect people from all generations. How is it affecting you?
We are inviting Tortoise members to take part in a short survey to share how they are navigating their futures in the uncertainty of today.
All information we publish from this survey will be anonymised and presented to the Tortoise Education Summit on 25 June. You can find out more and join the Summit here.
Many thanks for taking part, and we look forward to seeing you at the summit.
